Manga Summaries - Volume 9

Tankubon 9, Act 29 (Three Soldiers).
Chibimoon throws her arms around Pluto, who reveals she borrowed the power of Neo-Queen Selenity to be reincarnated to the past for a very important mission.  Sailormoon suddenly transforms from her sailor suit to her royal attire.  Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus then kneel, formally introduce themselves, and reveal their mission to the others.  Even so, the Outers do not want the Inners to fight with them, citing that they are more stronger and powerful than the Inners are.  The items they carry, the Garnet Orb, the Hand Mirror, and the Space Sword are the Talismans that they say will destroy the God of Ruin.  Later, Mamoru does some digging on the Net to figure a bit of Professor Tomoe's past.  Luna asks ChibiUsa to keep an eye on Hotaru.  Scene changes to the bad guys, where a little more of their plot is revealed.  Scene change again.  ChibiUsa plans to meet with Hotaru to see a movie, but Hotaru doesn't show up.  Worried, ChibiUsa calls Hotaru, but gets no answer.  Going to Hotaru's house, she discovers that Hotaru is getting bionic implants from her father.  As ChibiUsa runs away, Hotaru has flashbacks of the fire that injured her and klled her mother.  As she reminisces, she spots Michiru, Setsuna, and Haruka in her window and throws her amulet at them.  They vanish, but Hotaru realizes that someone is trying to take over her body.  Elsewhere, Cyphrine (Another Death Buster) challenges the Outers.  When the Inners come, Cyphrine's magic makes the two factions want to fight each other, sans Sailormoon.  Saying "Moon Spiral Heart Attck!", she waves her wand at the enemy, who split into two beings, Cyphrine and Pucherol, upon the attack hitting them.  Sailormoon, wishing that the SailorTeam's fighting spirits become one, joins her hands with Chibimoon and Tuxedokamen.  A light glows around them, and the Holy Chalice appears, as the gem in Sailormoon's tiara turns into a moon.

Tankubon 9, Act 30 (SuperSailorMoon).
As Sailormoon calls for the Sailor's spirits, the Talismans carried by the Outers glow.  As they resonate, the lid to the Holy Chalice opens, at which Sailormoon shouts out, "Crisis, Make Up!" and transforms into Supersailormoon.  As the brooches on the other Sailors turn into a heart shape, it is Sailorchibimoon who recognizes the power up of Sailormoon to Super form.  Elsewhere, the power eminated from Supersailormoon starts to awaken Mistress 9 in Hotaru.  Using the powered up Moon Spiral Heart Rod, Supersailormoon uses the attack, "Rainbow Moon Heartache!" to destroy Cyphrine and Pucherol.  Witnessing how the talismans so easily leant their power to Sailormoon, Michiru and the others decide to tell the truth to the Inners, that they key that brings the talismans together will awaken the Soldier of Ruin, Sailorsaturn, who they reveal to be Hotaru.  Fearful, the Outers want to kill Hotaru, becose they know the time is near for Sailorsaturn to re-awaken.  The Inners protest against this method, but stubbornly, the Outer refuse to find another way and leave.  Fearful, Sailorchibimoon runs to Hotaru's house, but Hotaru is in the midst of transforming.  She grabs Chibimoon's brooch and turns fully into Mistress 9, as Chibimoon reverts back to ChibiUsa and goes into a coma-like state.

Tankubon 9, Act 31 (Infinite Labyrinth 1).
In a hospital, a doctor says that ChibiUsa is dying.  When he leaves, Haruka tells them that ChibiUsa's soul has been stolen, and proceed to get into another argument with Usagi.  They take ChibiUsa to Mamoru's apartment, where they try to at least keep her alive.  Giving Usagi a kiss to comfort her, mamoru experiences another vision.  However, he is unsure if it is of the Messiah or the God of Ruin.  Elsewhere, Mistress 9 plots, except she hadn't counted on a little bit of Hotaru's spirit remaining to fight her from within.  The SailorTeam goes to the Infinity School to try to stop things.  They are quickly split up, and the Inner (minus Moon) find themselves up against the Death Busters they each defeated again.  Trapping them, the Death Busters project the images of the SailorTeam to Sailormoon, telling her how they wasted their lives fighting alongside her.  Realizing that they were illusions, Sailormoon uses the "Moon Spiral Heart Attack!" and they vanish, leaving her alone.  When the Outers get into the building, they too, are confronted by the illusionary Inners. Pluto uses her "Cronos Typhoon" attack, Neptune uses "Submarine Reflection", and Uranus her, "Space Sword Blaster", to defeat the illusions.  Sailormoon and the real Inner arrive.  Joining hands, the eight soldiers join together, willingly, as allies and call forth the Holy Chalice.  Shouting "Crisis, Make Up", Sailormoon once again changes into Supersailormoon.  They confront Kaolinite, who turns into a daimon.  Using the "Rainbow Moon Heartache!" Supersailormoon destroys the daimon, much to the chagrin of Mistress 9.  As Mistress 9 gather energy, ChibiUsa'a body begins to glow...

Tankubon 9, Act 32 (Infinite Labyrinth 2).
As Mistress 9 swallows the Silver Crystal of ChibiUsa, another episode of Hotaru fighting back occurs.  Hotaru's spirit takes the Silver Crystal and gives it back to ChibiUsa, telling her not to readily show it to people.  Back at the Infinity School, Supersailormoon goes with the Outers as they split off from the Inners to find out what is going on.  A scene with Professor Tomoe reveals how insane he is, thinking he was chosen to be the God of superhumans.  Supersailormoon and the Outers are discharged into darkness, and are seemingly seperated.  Drawing on the strength of her friends, Supersailormoon uses her "Rainbow Moon Heartache!" attack to disperse the darkness.  When the elevator finally crashes to the bottom, they find themselves greeted by Professor Tomoe in his lab.  He sends his daimons after them and, even though they can be destroyed, Tomoe cackles that he can make more.  He then turns into Gelmatoid, and calls himself the first superhuman.  Supersailormoon destroys him, but the building starts to fall apart, and the Sailors are thrown skyward.  As this happens, Supersailormoon reverts back to her normal sailor form and the SailorTeam confronts Mistress 9 for the first time...
